Process: Record a Case Plan
The main strengths (non-risk contributors) of the family aid in the development of the case plan and enable the family to meet the goals of the case plan. The case plan record must include at least one strength record and one concern record.
The system automatically fills in the family strengths recorded on the family assessment. You can update these on the case plan as necessary.
Record family strengths and weaknesses as follows:
From the Case Plan Topics screen; select the Strengths and Concerns link. The system defaults to the Strengths tab of the Strengths and Concerns field. It displays the strengths (non-risk contributors) that were entered on the family assessment.
Click the Edit link next to the participant names to update an existing strength record, or click Add Strength to add a new strength record. The Strength Details screen appears. It lists the case members who have been added to the plan as participants.
Select the check box next to the name of each participant to whom the strength record applies.
Select the behavioral category(ies) in the Available Non-Risk Contributors field, then click Add>>. The category(ies) you selected appear in the Selected Non-Risk Contributors field on the right.
Enter a detailed response in the What are the strengths? narrative field.
Click Save. You are returned to the Strengths and Concerns screen. The strength record you just added appears in the grid.
Repeat steps 3 - 7 for each strength record you wish to add.
