Complaint details, (record complaint) screen

This screen allows you to view, add, or update the details of a complaint. You complete this screen for a complaint that has already been filed with the court (for example, by the prosecutor). See About Court Information

If you record a complaint record in error, you must end the complaint record and select Created in Error in the Reason for Ending Complaint field. However, you cannot mark any legal action as created in error when another legal action is currently linked to it.

Fields on this screen

Court Case Number	Enter the court case number. The court case number is a court-assigned number that includes all children in a family
Reason for Ending Compliant	If an existing complaint is not to be filed with the court, select the reason for ending the complaint.
Type of Complaint	Select the type of complaint. This field is required.
Affiant	Click Person Search, then select the person who swears to the truth of the information in the complaint.
Date Submitted	Enter the date the complaint was submitted. Use the format MM/DD/YYYY.
File Stamp Date	Enter the court's file stamp date. Use the format MM/DD/YYYY. Once you enter and save this date, no further changes may be made to this complaint record. You can, however, amend or end the complaint.
