This screen allows you to search for adoptive parents. The system locates an adoptive family whose service type and other criteria match the needs and characteristics of the adoptive child you select on this screen. You can match providers for one child at a time.
When you click Search Families, the system displays the child-specific Provider Match screen, on which you initiate the search. The system then brings over to the adoption case all of the adoptive family matches it found, so that the system can reflect a complete history of all automated match results. You cannot choose which providers are brought over to the adoption case, although you can restrict, with an explanation, providers from future searches.
The child name link displays a record for each search date, which taken together, comprise a complete search history. You can view matching criteria the system used in each search from the View Criteria link and the complete results from the View Results link.
Once the potential adoptive families have been identified, you indicate whether they will be included in a matching conference.
