Cost factor details screen

The State financial administrator records service categories and types, as well as the standard costs for the services. Cost factors are used for agency foster care rates that change due to the age of a child and difficulty of care. The information is used for the State Annual Survey in Procedure Letter 58H. This screen allows you to record these attributes and add-on amount. The Calculate button instructs the system to add the add-on amount to the standard cost and determine the total amount.

The system does now allow you to save cost factor records with overlapping ages.

How do I...

Fields on this screen

Minimum Age	If the cost factor applies when the child is a minimum age, select the Yes radio button, then enter the age.
Maximum Age	If the cost factor no longer applies when the child reaches a maximum age, select the Yes radio button, then enter the age.
Point in Month	Select the point in the month from which the system should calculate age qualifications. This selection must be consistent with all service cost records on this service record. For example, if Birthday was selected on the initial cost factor record, then it must be selected on all subsequent cost factor records for this service record.
Add On	If your agency pays an amount above the standard cost, enter the add-on amount. The system adds this amount to the standard cost when you click Calculate.
