Reactivate a Person's Old Address

The system retains each address that was recorded on a person profile to build a history of the person's addresses. Only inactive addresses appear on the Person Address History screen.

The system allows only one address of a particular type to be active at a time. When you reactivate an old address of the same type as an active address, the system automatically end-dates the previous address and makes the reactivated address the primary address. The previous address then appears on the Person Address History screen. However, if the addresses are of different types, they appear as active addresses on the Person Address screen, and there is no change to the primary address indicator.

To reactivate an old address, complete the following steps:

  1. Display the person's profile.

  2. Click the Address tab on the Person Profile screen. A list of this person's addresses appears in the Person Address section. This person's email and telephone information appears in the Person Phone/Email section.

  3. Click the View Address History link above the Person Address table. The Person Address History screen appears.

  4. Click the Reactivate link. You are returned to the Person Address screen. The address you reactivated appears in the address listing.

  5. Select the Radio button for the primary address. It is moved to the top of the list.

  6. Click Save. You are returned to the initial screen from where you began your inquiry.
