Usage placement criteria maintenance screen

This screen allows you to view, add, or update the details of a placement criteria record. A placement criteria record defines the age range and number of children who can be placed with this provider. A placement record must be added before child characteristics are approved. Characteristics and placement criteria are required on the home study.

You can update placement criteria in "In Progress" status. After a placement criteria record has been approved, you can update the End Date field only. To update the child details, you must create a new placement criteria record.

Fields on this screen

Provider Type	Select the type of provider. You must choose the same provider type that's in the provider's information record. This field is required.
Placement Criteria Status	Select the status of this characteristics record. The default is "In Progress." For a home or residential provider, the system completes this field automatically based on the home study or licensing process. This field is required.
Effective Date	Enter the date on which this information is in effect. Use the format MM/DD/YYYY. The system automatically applies the approval date of the home study or license/certification to this placement criteria record. This field is required.
End Date	Enter the date on which this information is no longer in effect. The system automatically applies an end date when a new placement criteria record for this provider type is approved.
